Arthur Gliddon the London Tobacconist
Arthur Gliddon (1788–1862) was a London tobacconist and from 1825 the proprietor of the first cigar divan which was located in the King Street of Covent Garden. Gliddon had some association with snuff tobacco and notably was an early importer into England of Latakia snuff, and he was succeeded in business in either 1828 or 1829 by a Thomas Kilpack (1794–1874).
