Auguste Frédéric Meuron and the Meuron Snuff Concern
Auguste Frédéric Meuron (1789–1852) was a Swissman from Neuchâtel who relocated to Brasil and established a snuff tobacco manufacturing operation that would have manufactories in Bahia, Pernambuco, and Rio and was known particularly for its Rapé Area Preta product.
