Pressed Tobacco
Pressed tobacco (Danish Prestobak, Dutch Perstabak, German Preßtabak) is a processed tobacco product in the form of a right rectangular or square prism block that is manufactured fundamentally by together pressing a quantity of sauced tobacco leaves, with the exact method dependant on the characteristics desired as well as other factors. Similar to a tobacco carrot, pressed tobacco can be a precursor product that is further processed within the industry or can be a product for the end consumer, and such products can be intended variously for smoking, snuffing, or chewing purposes.
